We offer a two hour seminar, a half-day seminar and a full day seminar. We also offer a full day workshop for those that want to get more extensive hands-on training and a more in-depth understanding of the twelve self-defense principles covered our seminars. Each class is taught personally by Bill Mueller (Bill) – a Realtor with over 45 years’ experience in the Martial Arts. Bill is among only a handful of Americans ever to receive an 8th degree black belt from a recognized Karate Association based in Okinawa.
The Full-day Self-Defense Workshop will be strictly hands-on self-defense training. You will be taught numerous realistic techniques that do not require you to be a strong athlete to perform. The workshop will be based primarily on twelve principles detailed on this website. The advantage in learning by principles is that they will stick with you much longer than if you just learned techniques. Once the workshop is over you can go back to the principles you learned to check that you are training or remembering the most important points. This concept will become very apparent as you begin training!

2 Hour Seminar
The 2 hour seminar will cover the first three sessions (Preventative Measures, Home Showing, Open House, and Listing Safety, and Self-Defense Principles.) The format will be interactive, and attendees will walk away with some practical knowledge that can be quickly implemented on how to prevent attacks from happening in the first place. Participants will learn potentially life-saving best practices for conducting open houses, showing homes, and doing listing appointments. Attendees will see demonstrated how, when and where to realistically attack vital areas and how to apply self-defense principles. This seminar is perfect for those agents that want broaden their knowledge of self-defense and best practices or for brokers, managers and team leaders that are considering the prospect of putting safety protocols in place and are looking for a place to start.
Even our two hour seminar is much more extensive than most courses offered for Realtors.
Half Day Seminar (3-4 hours)
Our half day seminar will cover everything that is in the 2 hour seminar only in more depth and with more time to interact with the instructor. This seminar will challenge the way you have been currently thinking about self-defense. This is an excellent course for agents that have become complacent about their own personal safety and excellent for entities that are looking to improve the practices, policies and procedures they already have in place. The half day seminar will also incorporate hands-on self-defense training for those that volunteer to partake. Those not performing won’t be off the hook; they will be evaluating techniques based on what they have been taught. One of the best ways to learn is to learn why we do what we do by seeing others perform it correctly and incorrectly. We will evaluate the differences in performing techniques properly and the consequences of not.
Our half day seminar is ideal for agents and brokers that realize that their safety protocols may not be sufficient. They are humble enough to recognize that they or their team need to take inventory of their safety consciousness and are in need of serious self-defense training that is tailored to their industry.
Everyone should walk away with a new found sense of empowerment as well as the knowledge of basic principles that if practiced can incapacitate an attacker while requiring very little power. Participants will leave with the knowledge to help them develop their own safety plan of action. Brokers, managers and team leaders should have the knowledge to discern what they feel is most important to their agent’s well-being and develop specific policies and procedures. Safety should become a topic brought up at least monthly at company or team meetings.
I recommend only flat shoes for anyone wishing to participate in performing hands-on self-defense techniques.
Full Day Hands-on Self-Defense Workshop
5 – 6 hours
The Full-day Self-Defense Workshop will be devoted almost exclusively to hands-on self-defense training. It is perfect for agents and brokerages that want to be ALL IN when it comes to their own personal safety. This workshop is for people that really want to know what to do if they sense a situation escalating and feel that their life or well-being or that of a loved one is in serious danger! You will be taught numerous, realistic techniques that do not require you to be a strong athlete to perform, and can incapacitate your assailant. The workshop will be based primarily on the twelve principles detailed on this website. The advantage of learning by principles is that they will stick with you much longer than if you just learned techniques. Once the workshop is over you can go back to the principles you learned to ensure you train and remember the most important points. This concept will become very apparent as you begin training!
Our full day workshop is ideal for agents and brokers that are humble enough to recognize that they or their team need to take inventory of their safety consciousness and could benefit from some serious hands-on self-defense training that is tailored to their industry. Agents need to realize that no matter how cautious they are, the time may come when they need to defend themselves or become a victim.
Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Jeans and a shirt or sweat pants are fine. Wear clothes you can move easily in and pants in which you could do low kicks.
